Rutgers rolls on...

As game time approaches today I can't help but wonder what it was like to play that first game in 1869. I spend so much time thinking about cemeteries and families but I never dwelt much on other events of the time. Professors of the time thought the students would make too much of the sport. Talk about premonition. My guess is no one really cared. Life in this time was hard and sporting events were just recreational. What would those people think of what sports have risen to today?
